GF is a foundation bred mare sired by Bad Warrior out of GCF Kota Kurl. Click for full pedigree.

Looking for a sweet curly for you or your family that has experience to get you started off with confidence? Girlfriend might be for you! I seek a loving home for my gorgeous curly mare, who is 22 years young. She has been ridden by my girls and has taken very good care of them, in arena/show/expos. Bareback as well as saddle. Double registered with excellent bloodlines. I would never part with her if I could use her as a broodmare during her off times, so my loss is your gain.

GF was foaled April 30 1988. Due to having the last 18 months off, she will need an experienced rider to start. Kristal has shown her in most all disciplines and done very well, She even qualified to go to State Fair in 09 for gaming. She has plenty of get up and go.  I am looking for a permanent situation for her. Some where she can go and be ridden, loved and then retired.  I am not listing a price as if I can find the right home I am willing to make a bargain of a life time. She is special to us and a pre-approved home is a must.

She hauls, stands for farrier,  bathes,  Shots due this fall,  deworming is coming up soon...  She has been a great mare for Kristal to learn on,  although pretty well trained, she was still a bit of a challenge and taught Kristal a lot,  She has been a great horse for Kendahl to putter around on in the arena and never offered to kick, bite, or buck.  Both girls rode her bareback, in western and English attire. When she is tuned up, she knows lateral movements, backs, does trail courses well,  and  is a pleasure to ride,  we are hopefully going to be able to start riding her more to hopefully prepare her better for her next home.  She has played a very special part in our lives,  I just don't have a lot of pasture and resources to warrant keeping them all, so I have decided to seek a permanent situation for her. Kristal started riding her when she was 11,  and Kendahl at 7.  I have pictures of them both aboard and many of Kristal at the different 4-H events.  Girlfriend can not produce a foal, and I can't tell you how disappointed I was,  but that does not take away from her special qualities,  she loves to put her head on your shoulder and rest.  She gets along with other horses well(although she is more of a leader than follower in the herd)  but she also does very well by herself.  I would really like to see a potential new home come for a visit to see if the match is right,  but I know that is not always possible,  So we can have long talks before a decision is made.  I am more concerned that she go to the right home than I am about any dollar amount.   She has really good feet and my farrier has commented to this fact almost every time he trims her.  Only put shoes on her once, and I think that was really not necessary, as we have ridden her mostly barefoot.  Here are a couple youtube clips of Kendahl playing around on her,  pardon the lack of brushed hair!!  LOL,  was not planned and like I said she was playing around, so I grabbed the camera:
