Flashy been there, done that 14.3 hand, ABCR palomino pinto mare. Joy has had extensive riding in the mountains and trails and excells in the arena. She has a smooth gait and has passed the gaited trait to her daughter. Joy is well versed in natural horsemanship play and very responsive, not a deadhead. She loves one on one attention and is quite the princess if given such. Joy stands so well for the farrier that she was the perfect choice for me to learn to trim. I have put beginners on her in the arena but have not on the trails. She is spirited and I am overly cautious. She really tries to understand novices learning the ground games and she puts up with their inconsistencies undersaddle. I would recommend an intermediate rider or a beginner with close supervision. Because she retains her abilities so well we tend to put her off for another day because someone else always needs more attention. This video is evidence of her being taken out of the pasture after a year when my trainer wanted an uncomplicated play time. Joy has earned her right to be someones special horse again and give them that special feeling of joy.
